The Railway Benefit Fund is the only charity that solely supports railway people and their families. RBF was established in 1858 to provide care and financial aid to railway personnel and their families in times of hardship and need. For over 150 years we have continued to offer this support.

We are able to improve the quality of life of current and former railway people in the UK through the provision of customised support. Assistance is provided in many forms, on a short or long term basis and is specifically tailored to an individual’s situation. The charity offers financial assistance, practical help and wide-ranging advice, all in the strictest of confidence.

The RBF is not a membership based charity and is there to help all railway people at times of need.
